Last 30 November 2023, the Bantayog ng mga Bayani Foundation honored PRRM leader and former President, Isagani R Serrano (1947-2019) for recognizing “his lifetime of work for the people and for his powerful advocacy of open mass movements as a means of building resistance against authoritarian rule” during the Annual Honoring of Martyrs and Heroes.
“The months of research by the Foundation has shown how Gani led a life of courage and commitment, a life that gives our new generation of Filipinos a model and an inspiration for acting honorably when one’s country falls under a tyrannical rule.
